Abstract

I first met an incredibly gifted young African Diaspora artist, Shawn Peters, in the very first few weeks after my relocation to Trinidad and Tobago in 2006. A Trinidadian brother, who had taught at the University of Calabar when I was an undergraduate student there, was visiting his family and invited me to a “lime†or private dinner and drinks with his family.
