Interview with Professor Frank M. Kirkland

Frank M. Kirkland

Abstract

I’m the eldest child of three other siblings of the late Frank and Arcadia Kirkland, brother to two sisters, Linda and Marguerite, and 1 brother, the late Kenny Kirkland, noted jazz pianist. I was born and raised in “Bed-Stuy†Brooklyn whose “informal†education has long not resonated, but still, on occasion, can “pop up†crisply and ever gets its “props†from me. Professionally besides teaching intermediate- and upper-level undergraduate courses as well as graduate courses in what I work on, I also teach annually a large lecture introductory philosophy course.
