West Africa Review [WAR] is an interdisciplinary peer-reviewed journal, devoted to research on the countries, societies, and peoples from Cape Verde to Cameroun.


West Africa Review was selected as a Scout Report by the Internet Scout Project at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in their July 6, 2001 issue.

The journal is indexed in EBSCO, OCLC, Proquest, and listed in WorldCat, Ulrich Web, Open J-Gate, and others. The journal was previously listed in DOAJ.
