The following thrilling story was obtained by a representative of The Independent specially commissioned to gather the facts. The reporting is, of course, our representatives, but the facts are those given by the nurse. EDITOR.

The account of this confession is from an unidentified African-American domestic nurse. The question of voice is an important one to keep in mind in terms of historical accuracy and representation of Black experiences.
