Human and People's Rights and the Administration of Justice in Africa

Abstract


The article examines the record of human and people’s rights in the administration of justice in different parts of Africa. How effective are the policies of the African Union and other regional bodies in guaranteeing the rights of the average African? Are those rights enforced? Have national courts on the continent lived up to their constitutional mandates?
