When talking about racism, media, and mental health, I believe the conversation must also become one about narrative. Racism depends upon narratives which dehumanize one group in order to benefit another.

This is elegy for the bullet
For the hand that lets it go
For the violence sown into––
My condolences to the generations of Mothers
Who swallow grief by the clip
