Abstract


The Forms of Ìlàjẹ Pronouns

This is data from a Thesis for an MPhil Degree. This paper discusses the various forms of the pronoun in the Ilaje dialect of Yoruba. These include the long form, the short form and the null form. In particular, the paper reanalysed the third-person singular pronoun as a covert pronoun called pro. This covert pronoun can occur both in the subject and object positions.
