A Travesty of Justice: Restoring Nafissatou Diallo's Integrity

Nkiru Nzegwu

Abstract

This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the travesty of justice that was done to Ms. Diallo by the official investigation of her sexual assault complaint. It uncovers the assumptions and presuppositions that overshadowed the investigation, noting how these features obscured critical elements of the assault through flattening her identity and dismissed her humanity and personhood.
